SALES MASTERMIND

Let’s face it; life would be a whole lot easier if we got everything right the first time.

In the past few years suppliers have gone out of business.  Some of our trusted installers have found new jobs and aren’t available.  Inventories are down and you can’t find the tile your customer spent two weeks choosing.

The good news is there are answers.  There are solutions that work even when you’re overwhelmed and truly believe that you’ve tried everything.  It’s time to pivot and it’s easier if we work together.

“Life is not a solo act; it's an ensemble piece. You're in this with other actors, whose lines are just as important as yours.”
Marianne Williamson

If you've been waiting for the market to change, believe me it has.  Big box stores like Home Depot and Lowe’s have expanded their inventories and included lines that were only available to tile shops. On-line tile shops are picking up another share of the bricks and mortar business because their brand of advertising gets them to the top of the page in Google search and they’re not getting the service they deserve.

If you’re waiting for a magical moment to have the time to grow your business, the time is now! You don’t have to do it alone anymore you can be part of a mastermind team.

We’ve all heard that two heads are better than one; I propose that we try 30.  I’m going to limit this opportunity to 30 shops, each from a different town or city across the country.  We’re going to have 8 weeks of conversations, homework assignments, guest speakers and question and answer sessions every Tuesday night beginning October 29th. You will also have two private conversations with me to really get into your goals. We’re going to have a private Facebook group where everyone can share successes, problems, design ideas and questions that come up on a daily basis.  This group will stay together long as you want to share resources, wins and support.  All of our sessions will be recorded so you’ll never miss one and can listen to them again because when you do things differently, you hear them differently.

Do you want your business to have amazing results? If you got hit really hard in the recession it’s time to stop telling yourself the story of your loss.  Have you been waiting for the stars to align or until you have the money or to decide if you are worth it? Why did you start the business in the first place?  Pick yourself up; dust yourself off, lose the story, and play like you’re in it to win it.

I want to work with a very special group and if you’re feeling called to join; it’s time to Rock Your Tile Shop.  Stake your claim in your city or town by emailing me for an application.

Recently, I did an interview with Kelli Ellis of HGTV & Bravo for the Design Camp University.  Among lots of things, we discussed that the biggest problem with the design process is that tile and stone seem to be an afterthought. Floors, bathroom tile and countertops are big chunks of the budget and should be one of the first decisions made. Unfortunately some designers and most homeowners don’t realize what a great texture tiles add, especially in layout patterns.  When you introduce clients to patterns and unique designs they’ll never buy anywhere else!

So why work with me?  Because I love tile and stone!  I’ve worked at Walker Zanger in the Architectural Department and been a part of two tile store startups.  In every venture I built my sales from nothing to over $100,000 per month.  I took some time off from retail to create a book and website about tile layout patterns and the website will save tile stops hours each day in design and figuring out how much tile to order.

To reward your quick action, everyone enrolled by October 20th gets a one year FREE membership to my Easy Tile Design website which is a $840.00 value and trust me when I say it’s actually worth a part-time employee for a year. The website will be launching January of 2014 and all of you get to be beta testers. Tick, tock.

It starts when you ask yourself a few basic questions:

Why don’t you think you’re worth the profit on one bathroom remodel?
Do you want to survive for another year or do you want to thrive?
What happened to your big vision?
